En hora buena compartimos con ustedes algunos tips para aprender inglés en casa; entre hábitos, libros, películas y aplicaciones se abordarán además de algunas recomendaciones que pueden beneficiar su comprensión y uso de la lengua extranjera.
Habits and routine
Los hábitos son acciones repetitivas que se hacen parte de lo cotidiano, de ahí que el incluir la lengua extranjera en las actividades comunes es una buena estrategia para aprender inglés en casa.
Utilizamos variedad de dispositivos electrónicos como el televisor, el celular, el refrigerador entre otros; podemos configurarlos para que estos estén en el idioma ingles y normalizar el funcionamiento de estos en inglés. Es decir, hacer como parte del día a día el uso de los electrodomésticos y tecnología en el idioma anglo.
De la mano de la curiosidad por conocer nuevo vocabulario, sería ideal rotular objetos y espacios de la casa. Utilizar posttips o stickers que nos recuerden el término que se usa en inglés para nombrarlos. Son textos que nos ayudaran a memorizarlos y luego de que se asimilan los conceptos se desechan los papeles.

La lectura es fundamental para incrementar y ampliar el vocabulario, conocer sobre la cultura y la manera de comunicarse de los angloparlantes; para algunos es un tedioso ejercicio pero si se encuentra un material ameno y atractivo, sumado al compromiso de aprender inglés en casa, los resultados y el disfrute en el aprendizaje saltarán a la vista. Movies and series
Una buena película o tu serie favorita en tu tiempo libre puede ser un hábito que se sume a tu estrategia para aprender inglés en casa. La razón es que mientras más tiempo estemos expuestos a la lengua extranjera, más nos acostumbramos y aprendemos las palabras, los sonidos, los acentos, y los ritmoangloparlantes.
La configuración es clave para que esto sea posible, lo ideal sería escucharla con closed caption (C.C.)en el inglés, no obstante para un nivel principiante los subtítulos en español pueden ser un paso previo. Además hay muchas películas o capítulos que vemos de nuevo, las repetimos muchas veces; retarnos a verlos en inglés es la tarea que nos encomendamos a manera de reto y de estrategia para aprender inglés en casa.
Aplicaciones
El celular es un dispositivo que nos acompaña constantemente y nos puede ayudar para aprender inglés en casa; claro está, de manera general y sin entrar en valoraciones, existen variedad de aplicaciones que ilustran y ejercitan nuestras habilidades comunicativas en inglés. Ya todos conocemos duolinguo pero esta es solo una de las miles de apps que puedes descargar y usar mientras esperas que el microondas caliente tu cena o en el baño mientras depones.
